SUNDAY 20TH SEPTEMBER FIXTURE ROUND UP!

Ten Em Bee Tandridge Youth League!

Excitement had been building all week as the first weekend of Tandridge Youth League fixtures were now upon us. Our U8s made the journey to play Junior Elite at their new home ground, Riddlesdown Collegiate. A really impressive facility and the parents and players were in attendance to bear witness to a fabulous contest in which Junior Elite just came out on top scoring the crucial extra goal in a five goal thriller. The U9s were also on their travels as their game finished even as two goals were shared away at Old Wilsonians. The U10s had a free weekend as unfortunately our scheduled opposition had a few players out with illness. The U11s played a friendly as they still continue to add numbers and build the squad. Sports Attack were our guests and in a game of high entertainment it was the home side that gradually began to pull away as the game progressed into the later stages. Our U12s Tigers hosted Team Get Involved and the game began fairly even before the visitors raced ahead with some well worked team goals. Our U12s SDC were on the road away to FC Elmstead. Over the course of the game our boys grew stronger and played with confidence in the final third to eventually come out on top with 4 well taken goals. Also on the road were our U13s who were in good form away to Petts Wood recording a comfortable victory. The U14s hosted AFC Croydon in what was the game of the day at Old Bromley Rd. After looking comfortable with a 4-1 lead Ten Em were suddenly rocked as AFC came back with 3 goals to pull level at four apiece. It took a late late goal to finally edge the victory for Ten Em that the performance had deserved. Our U16s hosted Universal and despite dominating the opening exchanges the game was turned on its head in a 15 minute spell that shaped the rest of the game. Universal pegged back two goals to race into a 4-2 half time lead. This was a lead that they were not to give up and despite a big second half effort Universal ended up worthy 6-3 victors.
